Takara Leben is a special sponsor of the competition "Takara Leben Presents SDGs Koshien 2025 ~High School Student Practical Project~," a competition where high school students think about the SDGs.
The purpose of this conference is to foster the "creators of a sustainable society" as described in the new curriculum guidelines, by researching regional issues aimed at achieving the SDGs, thereby fostering the ability to identify issues and take action to solve them. Additionally, as a place for ESD (Education for Sustainable Development) practice, we aim to be a hands-on project where participants can enhance communication skills and develop thinking skills that respect diverse values and environments through interaction with local communities and peers.

High school students work as a team to achieve SDGs 17, selecting issues and themes they want to solve from their local communities and their own living environments, and then present their activities and achievements in response to these challenges through videos or materials.
Although the tournament started targeting Ehime Prefecture, starting from the 2025 tournament, the recruitment area has been expanded nationwide. At the exchange meeting and finals held in August, 14 teams that advanced through the preliminaries and 71 high school students participated. In the finals, each participating team gave a 10-minute presentation, and as a result of the judging, the Grand Prix was awarded to the 'Ethical Club' of Tokushima Prefectural Naka High School, which can do to realize sustainable fashion. Additionally, our company presented the "Takara Leben Award" to the "Oita-Kochi Exchange Team" of Ehime Prefectural Uwajima Higashi High School for "Research on Livable Town Development through Exchange with High Schools from Other Prefectures and PR Activities for the JR Yodo Line."
