Basic Policy regarding Health and Safety Management
The MIRARTH HOLDINGS Group actively supports employee safety and health maintenance and promotion, working to create a workplace environment where diverse talent can work vibrantly. Additionally, as part of this promotion system, we have established a "Health Committee" to thoroughly manage employee safety and hygiene.
Health Committee
Depending on the size of the workforce, our six group companies are working to create a workplace environment where all employees can work with peace of mind, primarily through the Health Committee as stipulated by Article 18 of the Industrial Safety and Health Act.
At Takara Leben, at regular meetings of the Health Committee, we identify "traffic accidents," "occupational accidents," and "overtime work" as significant risks threatening employee safety and health in the workplace, and conduct investigations, reports, and discussions aimed at solving these problems.
The committee members representing different workplaces have raised specific issues in workplace environments and habits that hinder reducing overtime and promoting leave taking, and measures to improve these are discussed and implemented sequentially with management.
Safe Driving Courses
Takara Leben conducts safe driving training during new employee training and for employees involved in traffic accidents during the relevant fiscal year, aiming to raise employees' safety awareness and prevent accidents. We convey that striving to prevent accidents is a corporate social responsibility and part of our corporate activities, introduce past accident trends, and conduct group work as part of hazard prediction training to prevent accidents.
Health and Productivity Management
Efforts to Reduce Working Hours
In light of the work style reform-related legislation enforced in phases since April 2019, the Group promotes employee health and "time-conscious, efficient work styles.”
To promote the creation of a workplace without long working hours, we visualize and thoroughly manage actual work conditions. We thoroughly enforce the principle of "no more than 45 hours per month in principle, and up to 60 hours only six times a year," and are considering visualizing actual work conditions and reflecting them in personnel evaluations, aiming to build a more appropriate labor management system.
MIRARTH HOLDINGS and Takara Leben will review the operation of the existing "PC Usage Management System" starting in fiscal 2025, revamping it to enable understanding and confirmation of discrepancies between PC usage logs and attendance clocks. This enables managers to better understand overtime hours that reflect actual conditions and creates an environment that raises awareness of well-structured organizational management. In addition, for employees who work long hours, we provide "physician consultations" and "working hours tracking," and share information with the Health Committee and an industrial physician to prevent health problems and occupational accidents.
Mental Health
MIRARTH HOLDINGS and Takara Leben conduct stress checks (once a year) to encourage employees to become aware of their own stress and enable early detection and response to mental health problems. Employees who have undergone stress checks are provided, according to the results, with learning content that can be used to improve their mental health situation and self-care. The results of stress check implementation are shared at management meetings with thorough protection of personal information. Furthermore, we provide follow-ups to each division manager to clarify organizational challenges, thereby contributing to improving the workplace environment and the organization.
Additionally, starting September 2025, we introduced a health management system, creating an environment where employees can always check the results of their stress checks and health checkups.
Furthermore, centralized management of health data accelerates information sharing with industrial physicians, enabling early approaches to signs of discomfort and strengthening follow-up systems based on more specialized perspectives. By deepening the use of data, we will further and more strongly promote the health of all employees.
Introduction of "Kinniku Shokudo Office" Corporate Meal Service
Takara Leben has introduced "Kinniku Shokudo Office" at some branches and model rooms in order to support the physical and mental well-being of employees while promoting engagement and advancing health and productivity management.
This is a corporate meal service that offers high-protein, low-calorie frozen dishes, each carefully handcrafted by restaurant chefs based on menus designed with nutritional balance in mind by registered dietitians. With just a quick heat in the microwave, employees can easily enjoy nutritious meals, making it possible to maintain a healthy diet even during busy workdays without difficulty. The menu includes over 100 options and offers flexible choices suited to a wide range of preferences, from breakfast to snacks. After a trial period from May through the end of September 2024, during which employee feedback and operational conditions were assessed, the service was officially introduced in January 2025.
Going forward, we will continue to work on improving the working environment and raising employee health awareness, aiming to enhance the performance of each individual and create a sustainable workplace.
