Background to the launch of this joint venture and future prospects

In recent years, the importance of grid storage batteries to adjust the balance between supply and demand of electricity from the perspective of promoting renewable energy and mitigating output fluctuations has increased. In the Kanto area, responding to fluctuations in the output of renewable energy, which is expected to be further introduced in the future, is an issue, and many adjustment capabilities, including grid storage batteries, are required.
Against this background, MES has decided to enter this project, which can contribute to the stabilization of grid power and the improvement of value in local communities. MES will continue to promote the development of grid storage stations nationwide, contribute to the expansion of renewable energy introduction and the stability of regional grid power, and work on Realizing a Decarbonized Society.
